FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD!!!

Ahhhh!!! It's Saturday and it's the grocery shopping day at West End. Unfortunately it is only open during the mornings thus we have no choice but to wake up and go. With much reluctance all of us woke up and headed off to pick up Elsa as she had a morning paper that day. Poor Elsa...

Apparently oblivious to the plans..

And a veryyyy disgruntled Kenneth LOL.

After picking her up we headed off to West End with Donald being our chauffeur for the trip. (P.S. I can't drive at all..) We all CHIONG THE GERMAN HOTDOGS when we go to the market. They are irresistable!!!

Look at the hotdogs! Dont they look delicious??

Satisfying our hunger pangs, we head off to buy some cheapppp veggies and seafood. Total bill costs only like 43 bucks for loads of veggies, 1 kg of salmon and dory fish each. So cheappp!!! There are also plenty to do and see at West End like buying spectacles, having a game of soccer at the field and some fun for the kiddies at the inflatable castle.

Look at the crowd!!

Having done with our shopping, we went with my friend, Barry, and his gang to Sunny Bank where they sell Asian cooking ingredients. Apparently there's this supermarket called Yuen's Supermarket which sells stuff like Hello Panda and Chilli Sauce.

Happily selecting our purchases....

Next, we headed over to this dim sum restaurant called The Manors which is just a short distance away. We went at the recommendation of Barry who says that the dim sum here is reasonably good. I do really miss Chinese cuisine over the sandwiches, burgers and fries i have been eating....

Those lobsters are big!!! And the diners look happy too!

Having set down our orders, we waited for our food patiently. To our horror, Kenneth took the liberty of increasing each order by 1, hence there's a humongous amount of dim sum for the 9 of us!! Nice one there Kenneth.. We were overwhelmed by how much food that was brought forward to our table, with a couple of ang mohs looking damn stunned by the amount of food on the table. Even the waiter also got a shock when he took our orders, which he kept stressing on the size of the orders.

Barry really seems to be taking it easy...

To our relief, we really managed to finish the food, except for the sotongs which were really too much for us to bear. They all keep taunting me to eat the sotongs which i was not supposed to really eat... (P.S. I have a small inflammation of the eye caused by heatiness... A.K.A 生眼针 so seafood is a no-no) Damn it...

After eating heartily, we went back to our nice hovel at St Lucia where we rejuvenated ourselves. So much for a day's worth of good food!

Mafia King signing off....
